Callout

Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026Last updated October 20, 2026

01Who we are

Callout (“we”, “us”) is a free, non-profit community website for VALORANT players, built and run by volunteers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Callout isn’t endorsed by Riot Games. Questions about this policy: contact@callout.stream.

02Data we collect

We only collect what a feature needs. Most of it reaches us only after you choose to link your Riot account.

  • If you sign in with Discord or Google, we receive your account ID, display name, avatar and email address from that service. We use them only to sign you in and show your profile. We never receive your password, contacts or messages.
  • Riot account identifiers, received through Riot Sign On (RSO) when you link: your PUUID, Riot ID (game name and tagline) and region.
  • Game data from Riot’s official API for your linked account: match history and match details such as agents, maps, rounds, positions, economy and combat stats, and your competitive tier where it appears in match data.
  • Information you give us: team names and memberships, your teammate-search profile (role, play times, mic, play style, and a Discord handle if you add one), videos and notes you contribute, votes and reports.
  • Technical data: IP address and basic request logs for security, and your language preference, stored in your own browser.

We never see your Riot password. You sign in on Riot’s own page, and Riot only tells us which account you linked. We do not collect payment details.

03How we use data

  • To run the features you use: verified rank, team comp suggestions, match analytics, tournaments and teammate search.
  • To show your profile to other players, within the visibility settings you choose.
  • To compute aggregated, anonymous statistics, such as agent pick rates by rank, that never identify a single player.
  • To keep the service secure and to comply with Riot Games’ developer policies.

We do not show ads, sell data, or build marketing profiles.

04What becomes public

Linking your Riot account makes your player data public on Callout. Riot requires every VALORANT app to tell you this clearly before you link.

You can narrow what others see in your privacy settings, for example showing your rank only in teammate search.

Players who appear in your matches but have not linked their accounts are shown only inside that match, never with a profile page of their own.

05Who we share data with

  • Riot Games, when we request game data on your behalf through the official API.
  • Service providers that host and run Callout: Vercel Inc. and Supabase. They process data only on our instructions.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent personal data.

06How long we keep data

  • While your account is linked, we keep your data so features keep working.
  • When you unlink or delete your account, we remove your personal data within [30] days, and from backups within [90] days.
  • Request logs are kept for [30] days.
  • Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept.

07Your rights and choices

At any time, you can:

  • View and export the data we hold about you.
  • Change what is public in your privacy settings.
  • Unlink your Riot account from Callout, or revoke Callout’s access from your Riot account page.
  • Delete your Callout account and all personal data with one button in Settings.

Depending on where you live, data protection laws may give you further rights, such as the right to object or to complain to a regulator. To use them, email contact@callout.stream.

08Cookies and local storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember your language. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We count page views with cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics).

09Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Our Riot API key and your sign-in tokens stay on our servers and are encrypted at rest. Only project maintainers can access production data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you promptly.

10Age requirements

You must meet the minimum age to hold a Riot account and to consent to data processing where you live. If we learn we hold data from someone below that age without valid consent, we will delete it.

11International transfers

Our servers are located in Singapore (database) and the United States (website hosting). Your data may be processed outside your country, with the safeguards that applicable law requires.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and post a notice on the site. For significant changes, we will ask you to review the policy before you continue.
